The book house is a conch that can catch the sound of the ocean.

Enter the site from north entrance at the foot of the mountain, a white-lighted building gleaming above the treetops. The whole picture of this bookstore revealed right after turn of the road. Three openings of the design rotate inward, facing the sky, the woods, and the sea, collecting the sounds and scenery around the site: the sound of rolling waves, the sound of wind, and the sound of people reading. It is like a small spiritual lighthouse, continuously converging and bridging the fragments of nature with the spiritual world of reading. There is no obvious internal and external lines in the bookstore. The outside nature wander into the room so gently, and the internal activities flow out along the curve. It has the charm of oriental reading room that combines nature with reading and writing, it is a modern interpretation of traditional Chinese reading room.

When people walking into the bookstore, sitting on the wooden floor and the seats, they can quietly watch the color, light, and sound changes in the room. It is like filtering the natural environment in this small container like a work of art. The sunlight moves, and the circular light spot moves indoors, which is a poetic expression of time.

This design uses a modern and organic shape and the core of the Oriental Bookstore to capture the touching moments of the coexistence of human and natural ecology in the site.

卧山·听海

临山而读，滨水望月。

海声风声读书声，声声入耳。书屋像儿时从海滩拾起听海的海螺，又像搜集声音与景色的小耳朵，生态的栖居在山海自然之间。

从山下的入口进入场地，看到树梢之上泛着白光的建筑物若隐若现。随着山路一拐，书屋的全貌才呈现在眼前。“卧山听海”书屋的三个开口向内旋转，对向天空，树林，和远方的海面，收集着场地周边的声音与景色：海浪翻滚的声音，风的声音，人的读书声。阳光熹微，月色迷人，它像一个小小的精神灯塔，将自然的片段与阅读的精神世界不断汇聚弥合。书屋没有明显的内、外界线，外部的自然就这么轻柔的踱步进来，内部的活动也顺着曲线流淌了出去。 有着东方书庐将自然与阅读写作结合的气韵，是书庐的现代诠释。

人们走进书屋，坐在木地板或者座椅上静静的观看室内的颜色，光线，声音的变化，像是在这个像艺术品的小容器中把自然环境过滤了出来。阳光挪动，圆形的光斑在室内运转，是时间的一种诗意呈现。

卧山听海书屋以一种现代的，有机的，造型与东方书庐的内核，去捕捉场地中人与自然生态共存的感人瞬间。
